A certain key to achieving your long-term financial objectives is planning. Your goal may be to fund your children’s college education, protect your family during your working years, or guarantee your own retirement security. These things won’t happen by accident. It’s important to determine what you’d like to achieve financially and then map out a strategy that will help you meet those goals. The good news is that it’s never too late to start.
Of course, planning your financial future can be intimidating. Fortunately, you don't have to do it alone. We are trained professionals who can help you identify your financial needs and then determine which insurance and financial products can best help you meet your objectives.
“Hi, I'm Tim Ellen, and I've been blessed with a successful career in the insurance and financial services profession for over 30 years. Like many of my friends and clients, my life -and my planning- centers around my family and the people, places and activities that I enjoy. I'd love to meet with you, explain what I do for my clients, and ask for an opportunity to earn your business.”
For Tim Ellen, the creation of financial strategies is not a one-product-fits-all process. His business – Tim Ellen and Associates – was founded in 1990, and is all about building a relationship with clients and finding solutions that best fit those clients' needs.
Tim’s typical client will range from a 20-year-old post grad just starting out to a 90-year-old retiree. He provides a myriad of services primarily centered around insurance, investment and long-term care planning. But before suggesting a product, Tim likes to get to know his clients, assess where they are financially and learn their future goals. Then, he begins his planning process to provide recommendations and help clients determine which products and services will best suit them.
Tim graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and a vision to become a sports public relations professional. He did not plan to join the financial services arena, but later felt it was his calling. After joining the New York Life in 1989, he committed to his career path by actively seeking and developing relationships with colleagues - not only those working out of his Central Georgia General Office, but also with product consultants and managers so he could quickly learn the ins and outs of the industry.
He’s a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA); a Qualifying and Life Member of The Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT); a Lifetime Council Member with New York Life; past president of the company’s Agents Advisory Council, and a former member of New York Life’s Community Impact Grants Committee as well as the company’s Political Involvement Leaders (PIL) team.
Tim graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in public relations. In addition, he has his Life Underwriters Training Council Fellow designation (LUTCF®) and the Certified Long Term Care Consultant Designation (CLTC®).
